Investigation into the murder of Liam Murray, 17 - 20/3/09 - Arrests

Gardai in Terenure have this morning, 18th July 2011, arrested two males in connection with the murder of Liam Murray which occured between 17th and 20th March 2009.

One male aged 49 years is detained under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007 as amended and is being held in Terenure Garda Station.  The second male aged 47 years is detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Rathmines Garda Station.

Gardai at Terenure investigating the murder of Liam Murray, of Rockbrook Cottages, Rathfarnham, Dublin, yesterday morning 20th March, 2011 are appealing to the public for information.

Liam Murray aged 42 was socialising at a bar on the junction between South Circular Road and Clonbrassil Street up to 6pm on St Patrick's Day - 17th March 2009.

He was later seen in the Terenure area.

Rockbrook Cottages are on the Edmonstown Road near Rockbrook School and close to the Mount Venus Cemetery.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have seen Liam on or since St Patrick's Day or who may have been in the vicinity of Rockbrook Cottages in the days up to and after St Patrick's Day to contact the incident room in Terenure on 01 6666400, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
