Fatal Fire at house in Killaloe 3rd July, 2011

Gardai in Killaloe are investigating all the circumstances surrounding a fatal fire at a house in Grange Road, Ballina, Co. Tipperary.

The fire was discovered at approximately 2.20 hrs this morning 3rd July, 2011.  There were three people in the house at the time, two managed to escape but one person (53 year old male) was trapped inside the house. His remains were later discovered by the Fire Service and removed to the Mortuary at Limerick Regional Hospital.
 
The two women in the house escaped uninjured.
 
The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination will take place later today. The Office of the State Pathologist has also been notified.
