Fatal road traffic collision in Mullingar on the 27/12/11

Gardaí at Mullingar are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 5am this morning, Tuesday 27th December 2011.

A 23 year old male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the N4 at Clongowney, Co. Westmeath.

The Road was closed at the time but is in the process of being re-opened (will be complete by mid-day).
