Fatal road traffic collision at Mullinavat - 2nd Man deceased - 24/12/11

Gardai in Thomastown have confirmed that a second man has died that was involved in the traffic collision in Mullinavat yesterday 23rd December, 2011.

Both men have been named as 19 year old Sean Malone, Kilcready, Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny and Martin Duggan, 20 years from Main Street, Ballyhale, Co. Kilkenny.

Gardai in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny are investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision in Mullinavat on the 23rd December 2011.
 
The collision occurred at approx 1.20pm on the Mullinavat to Waterford road approx 3km outside Mullinavat (N9). The three male occupants (19 & 20yrs) of the car were seriously injured in the collision. A 19 year old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken to the Morgue at Waterford Regional Hospital, the other 2 occupants were taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for treatment.
 
The road is closed pending a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
