As a result of a joint investigation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Officers at Dublin Port, with support from the Store Street Drugs Unit, approximately 60kgs of herbal cannabis was seized yesterday, the 16th April 2011 at 11.25am.
The drugs have an estimated street value of €720,000. The search took place at a business premises in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
Two English nationals aged 35 and 37 were arrested and are currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
This seizure is not related to drug seizures earlier this week.
