Discovery of suspicious object at the Wellington Monument on Summerhill Road, Trim on the 21/4/11

Gardai at Trim Co Meath are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a suspicious object which was found at the Wellington Monument on the Summerhill Road in the town at approx. 1.10am this morning, the 21/4/11.

The area was sealed off and diversions were put in place.  The area is non-residential and there was no-one evacuated.  <_o3a_p>

The Defence Forces Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was requested and they attended the scene at 3.20am.  The object was made safe.  <_o3a_p>

No persons were injured and no property damaged during the course of the incident.
