Armed robbery in Nenagh, Tipperary on the 14th April 2011

Gardai in Nenagh are investigating the circumstances of an armed robbery in Nenagh, on the 14th April 2011.

The robbery occurred at approx 11.15am when 2 armed males entered a Jewellers shop on <_st13a_street><_st13a_address>Mitchell Street, Nenagh.  A shot was discharged during the robbery.  The men left the scene without any property and got into a waiting car.  Gardai followed the suspect car and it was stopped in Curraghduff, Upperchurch on the <_st13a_city><_st13a_place>Newport to <_st13a_street><_st13a_address>Thurles Road.  Three males were arrested by Gardai from Thurles and <_st13a_city><_st13a_place>Newport.<_o3a_p>

One male (36yrs) was taken to Thurles Garda Station and the other two (in their 30’s) were brought to Nenagh Garda Station.  All three being detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended. <_o3a_p>
