Death as a result of a road traffic collision

A 22 month old boy has died at Temple Street Children's Hospital today (27th Sept.) following a traffic collision in Moate, Co.Westmeath on Saturday the 25th of September 2010.

The child was struck by a car in the Coillin Buí estate in the town at about 1.45 p.m. on the 25th. and taken to Mullingar General Hospital, he was later transferred to Temple Street.

The collision is under investigation.
