Immigration searches Dublin

Gardai from the Garda National Immigration Bureau in co-operation with the Latvian Police, searched a house in Palmerston, Dublin this afternoon the 25th of October 2010.

The operation was part of an investigation into human trafficking.

During the search of the house Gardai rescued two women aged 19 and 25 years.  The women are being cared for by Gardai and other State Agencies.

Two men were arrested at the house for False Imprisonment.  The men, one in his 20 and the other in his 30, are detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
