Gardai in Limerick are investigating the circumstances of an serious assault which took place at a dwelling on Hyde Rd, Limerick on the 1st October 2010.
As a result of the above incident a man(48yrs) was taken to Midwest regional Hospital with serious injuries where he was described as being in a critical condition.
A male(22yrs) was arrested yesterday morning the 1st Oct 2010 in Limerick in connection with the incident and was detained in Roxboro Rd Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He was released from custody this evening the 2nd Oct 2010 and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
The injured male who received the serious injuries died this evening the 2nd October 2010. A post mortem will take place tomorrow morning the 3rd Oct 2010 in the Midwestern Hospital
