Drug seizure and arrest at Blanchardstown, Dublin on the 8/6/10

As part of an ongoing investigating into the sale and supply of illegal drugs, Gardai from the Blanchardstown Drug Unit have seized cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €450,000.

Gardai carried out a planned search in sheds at the rear of a house on Blakestown Road this afternoon, the 8/6/10 and discovered an elaborate and high tech cannabis growing operation.  Cannabis plants (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €450,000 were discovered.  Nine stun guns (subject to technical examination) were also discovered.

A male in his 20’s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
