Assistance sought on behalf of the Greater Manchester Police

We have been asked to circulate the following Press Release on behalf of the Greater Manchester Police.

Police are appealing to trace the next of kin of a man who died at his home in Beswick, Manchester, England.

George Smith, believed to be in his 80's, was found at his house on Manilla Walk shortly before 3.50pm on Tuesday, the 2nd June 2010.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, but officers are keen to trace any family he may have.

It is believed George had four daughters and a son, aged in their late 40's or early 50's, and that he may have some relatives in Nottingham.

George was also a frequent visitor to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
