Bank robbery at Rathdrum, Wicklow on the 22/1/10

At approximately 11.15am this morning, the 22/1/10, three males entered the Bank of Ireland branch in Rathdrum, Co. Wickow.

The men were wearing white boiler suits and were armed with what is believed to be a lump hammer and a firearm. They threatened staff and took an undisclosed sum of money, and made their escape in a black Mitsubishi Jeep with 96 WW plates (believed to be false).


Gardaí in Wicklow are appealing for witnesses to the incident, particularly those who may have seen the men in boiler suits in or around 11am in the area, or anyone who saw the car leaving the area at approximately 11.20am.
