Serious road traffic collision on the Malahide Road, Dublin on the 30/11/09

Gardaí in Coolock are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Malahide Road.

 

Gardaí in Coolock are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Malahide Road, Coolock, Dublin 17 at approximately 5.50am this morning, the 30th November 2009.

 

It is believed a lorry jackknifed and may have hit a wall.

 

The driver, a man in his mid 30s, was taken to Beaumount Hospital. He is believed to be in a critical condition.

 

The road is still closed (10.35hrs, 30/11/09) for a Forensic Collision examination and will remain closed for another hour at least.

 

There are diversions are in place at Moyne Road.  Motorists are asked not to use Baskin Lane as it like many of the roads in the locality are extremely hazardous.
