Meeting - Security arrangements at Financial Institutions.

A meeting took place on the 2/3/09 chaired by Assistant Commissioner M. McCarthy of our Crime & Security Section.

 

A meeting took place on the 2/3/09 chaired by Assistant Commissioner M. McCarthy of our Crime & Security Section to discuss security issues at bank premises and cash centres.

The meeting was attended by the heads of security for the State's major financial institutions and representatives of the Irish Banking Federation.

 

A full and frank discussion took place surrounding procedures and protocols currently in place and a commitment was given by the financial institutions to carry out a complete security review of existing procedures.

 

A further meeting to review progress will be arranged in the very near future.
