Notice for spectators attending Shamrock Rovers v Real Madrid Match on Monday, 20/7/09

Please comply with directions of Gardai and stewards and to be mindful of the fact that there are many residents in the area.

 

In relation to the match between Shamrock Rovers and Real Madrid on Monday evening, Superintendent Eamon Dolan speaking at Tallaght Garda Station has stated:

 

"I would appeal to fans attending the match between Shamrock Rovers and Real Madrid to allow plenty of time as many spectators will not be familiar with the grounds and surroundings. Fans should use Public transport where possible."

 

Superintendent Dolan continued "The stadium is well served with public transport.  The RED Luas line will be well serviced and there are ten bus routes servicing the Square Shopping Complex all within easy walking distance of Tallaght Stadium. "

 

Superintendent Dolan on behalf of An Garda Siochana also wishes all fans an enjoyable and peaceful evening.

 

We would urge fans to comply with directions of Gardai and stewards and to be mindful of the fact that there are many residents in the area.


Spectators should be patient entering the stadium and in particular leaving the areas during the hours of darkness.

 

Parking

 

There will be parking facilities available in the square shopping complex (which includes a multistorey carpark).  There is also additional underground parking at the Marks & Spencers Store and Supervalu Store which are both adjacent to the Square Shopping Centre.  The public are also encouraged to use the Car Park facilities at the Red Cow Luas Terminus and use the Luas to the Stadium.

 

There will be no parking facilities available at the Arena Complex (Woodies, Lidl, Maldron Hotel) across from the Stadium for match spectators.

 

Gardai will strictly enforce no parking along the N81 and Whitestown Way Road from midday on Monday 20th July 2009.

 

 
Access to the Stadium will be signposted from the M50 and N7 routes.

 

Match patrons are requested to be in their seats at least 30 minutes before kick off. 

 

Details of all bus routes are well advertised on the Shamrock Rovers FC website. 

 


The match next Monday night, July 20th has an 8pm kick off and all tickets for the game have been sold.
