Drug seizure in Killiney, Dublin on the 30/1/09 - and update.

The three prisoners detained in relation to yesterday's drugs seizure have released without charge.

 

The three prisoners detained in relation to yesterday's drugs seizure have tonight (31/1/09) been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director Public Prosecution. (See Press Release below.)

As part of a planned operation Gardai from the Blackrock Drugs Unit arrested a man and two women yesterday - 30th January 2009.

The arrests followed the search of a car in Cabinteely and a subsequent follow up search in an Apartment in Killiney Hill in Dublin.

In the course of the search of the apartment Gardai seized what are believed to be Ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €1 million in addition to quantities of cocaine and cannabis resin with a combined estimated street value of €100,000 subject to analysis.

A 20 year old female and a 23 year old male are being detained in Dundrum Garda Station and a 61 year old woman is being detained at Blackrock Station. All three are being detained under the Misuse of Drug Act.
