Gardai in Donegal investigating recent serious crime in the Donegal division have on Saturday, 28th February 2009, recovered a quantity of firearms and ammunition.
A planned search was carried out on the morning of the 28/2/09 in the Carrigans area by Uniform and Detective Gardai.
The following items were recovered:-
Two suspect devices (which have been made safe by the Army EOD team)
Four pistols.
Two revolvers
Two sawn off shotguns
A quantity of ammunition.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
