Gardai investigating the armed incident in Rathcoole and the robbery of the Bank of Ireland in College Green in Dublin on the 27/2/09 have arrested seven people as part of the on going investigation.
Gardai arrested a male when they stopped a car on the M50 close to the Navan Road shortly after 9.30 pm on the 27th February 2009.
Six other people inluding one female were subsequently arrested in the Dublin 7 area.
Gardai also discovered a substantial quantity of cash and seized 6 cars in the course of the series of arrests.
The six men and one woman who range in ages from early 20's to late 30's are being detained in Blanchardstown, Bridewell, Finglas, Mountjoy and Pearse Street Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
