Fatal road traffic collision on the Gorey Bypass on the 28/12/09

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the N11 Gorey Bypass, on the 28th of December 2009 at about 10.00 a.m.

A mini bus believed to be carrying 19 people overturned resulting in the death of female in her 40's, her body has been removed to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.  Eighteen other passengers on the mini-bus were removed to Loughlinstown Hospital.

There are reports of a number of minor collisions resulting from the initial crash.

The road at the scene of the collision is closed.
