Gardai have seized 700 Cannabis Plants this morning following a search of a house in Readuff, Loughmourne, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.
The male in his early 20's being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Castleblayney Garda Station (previous release below refers) will appear in Monaghan District Court at 10.30am tomorrow morning (1st October 2008) to be charged in connection with the incident.

Gardai have seized 700 Cannabis Plants this morning following a search of a house in Readuff, Loughmourne, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan.
The search was carried out by detectives from Cavan/Monaghan Divisional Drug Unit and the Garda National Drug Unit assisted by local Gardai from Shantonagh. In the course of the search cannabis plants with an estimated value of €240,000, subject to analysis, were discovered.
One male in his early 20's was arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Castleblayney Garda Station.
