Fatal road traffic collision at Ballintra, Donegal on the 9/11/08 - and names.

A car and a van were in collision at Ballymagrorty, which is on the main road between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town (N15).

 

Garda have named the three victims of Saturdays crash at Ballintra, Co Donegal. 

They were; Michael O’Sullivan, Lawne Park, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, aged 17 years.  PJ Branley, Behildus Avenue, Ballyshannon, aged 58 and  Dessie McNulty, 4 Forge Avenue, Ballintra, Co. Donegal aged 40 year.

The man seriously injured in this morning's collision (see Press Release below) was pronounced dead at Sligo General Hospital this afternoon.

Gardai at Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 10.00am this morning 9th November 2008.

A car and a van were in collision at Ballymagrorty, which is on the main road between Ballyshannon and Donegal Town (N15).

Two men were fatally injured and a third man has been seriously injured.  He has been taken to Sligo General Hospital for his injuries, which are thought to be serious.

The remains of the two deceased men have also been removed to Sligo General Hospital.

The road remains closed pending an investigation by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Ages of all involved have not yet to been confirmed.
