Discovery of mans's body in Blakestown, Dublin 15 on the 25/11/08 - and update

In relation to the discovery of a man's body at a house in Ashcroft Grove last night (previous press release below refers) Superintendent, Blanchardstown will brief members of the media at Blanchardstown Garda Station at 12.30pm today - 26th November 2008.

Gardai at Blanchardstown are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body at a house in Ashcroft Grove in Blakestown, Dublin 15.

The body of the 27 year old man was discovered shortly after 8pm last night (25/11/2008) in a front downstairs living room.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim appears to have sustained a number of bullet wounds to the neck area. 

The scene is being preserved for a technical examination and a post mortem will take place later today (26/11/2008).
