Kilmainham Gardai are investigating an incident that occurred in a licensed premises in Inchicore, Dublin.
Kilmainham Gardai are investigating an incident that occurred at 4.20 pm on the 14/5/2008 in a licensed premises in Inchicore, where a man was threatened.
Nobody was physically injured in this incident.
A short time later, Gardai searched a male walking on Davitt Road Dublin 12.
Gardai recovered a handgun and in the course of a follow up search of Connolly Avenue a magazine containing a number of rounds of ammunition were recovered.
A male (27 years) was arrested and is currently detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under the provisions of the Offences Against the State Act 1939/98.
Firearm and ammunition will be forwarded to the Ballistics Sections, Garda Headquarters for examination.
