Incident at Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny on the 7/3/08 - and update.

A man whom Gardai believed to be armed barricaded himself into a room in his house at Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny.

 

In relation to the incident involving a man barricading himself into a house in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny a further 4 firearms were seized during the search of the house. 

This brings the number of firearms seized to a total of 7 - 1 rifle and 6 handguns. 

This investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.

Shortly before 7.00pm on the 7/3/2008 a man whom Gardai believed to be armed barricaded himself into a room in his house at Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. 

Gardai attended the scene and the man was spoken to by a number of people. 

Shortly after 10pm he voluntarily left the house without further incident or injury to any person.   

Three firearms and a quantity of jewellery was recovered from the house. 

A detailed search is currently being conducted at the house and the man is in undergoing medical care at this time. 

There is no further information at present.
