Fatal road traffic collision on the N6 at Ballinsloe, Galway on the 9/7/08 and name.

Gardaí at Ballinasloe are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N6 at Creagh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

 

The man who died as a result of yesterday's 10/06/08 collision in Ballinasloe (Press Release 819/08 below refers) has been named as 39 year old Declan Glennon of Woodlands, Creagh, Ballinasloe.

Gardaí at Ballinasloe are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2.30pm today, on the N6 at Creagh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. 

A male pedestrian, believed to be in his 70's, was fatally injured when he was struck by an articulated lorry. 

His body remains at the scene and the road has been closed. 

Motorists are advised to avoid Ballinasloe if at all possible and to use alternative routes.  Diversions are being implemented by Gardaí at the scene.
