Discovery of human remains on Bray Head, Wicklow - and up date

Gardaí in Bray are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains at the side of Bray Head.

 

Gardai at Bray Garda Station can confirm that following dental analysis on the body found on Bray Head on 19th February 2008 has been identified as that of Ms. Maura Reynolds who was reported missing on 25th december 2005.

The examination of the body did not indicate any signs of physical trauma.  An investigation file is being prepared for the Dublin City Cororner who will carry out an inquest in due course.

The family have been informed.

Gardaí in Bray are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of human remains at the side of Bray Head. The remains were discovered by a passer by at approximately 4 p.m. today, the 19/2/08.

Gardaí have consulted with the State Pathologist and the Technical Bureau has also been informed. The scene has been sealed off and preserved for examination.
