Gardai at Henry St, Limerick are investigating an incident which occurred at a premises on Sarsfield Street in the city at approximately 2.15pm today (27/12/08) and update.
A 21 year old man will appear at a special sitting of Limerick District Court at 7 p.m. on the 28th of December 2008 charged in relation to the death of a 17 year old male at Sarsfield Street in the city on the 27th of December.
Note: Initial press release gave the age of the arrested man as 18 years.

Gardai at Henry St, Limerick are investigating an incident which occurred at a premises on Sarsfield Street in the city at approximately 2.15pm today (27/12/08)
Two youths were involved in an assault, a 17 year old male was taken to the Mid-West Regional Hospital in Limerick with serious injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.
An 18 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The scene has been preserved pending a Garda Forensic Examination
A post mortem will be carried out tomorrow (28/12/08) at the Mid-West Regional Hospital by the State Pathologist.
