Gardaí at Roxboro Road are investigating a shooting that occurred at a house in O' Malley Park, Limerick.
The man detained in relation to last Saturdays shooting in O'Malley Park has had his period of detention extended, he can be held for a further period of up to 24 hours. He remains in custody at Roxoboro Road Garda station.

Gardaí in Limerick are today 7th April carrying out searches as part of the investigation into two shootings that took place in the city over the weekend.
At approximately mid-day a body was found on waste ground close to the Caledonian Park area of Limerick.
The scene has been preserved, and the State Pathologist’s office has been notified, as has the Garda Technical Bureau.
Gardaí at Roxboro Road are appealing for any person with information (particularly anyone who was in the waste ground area within the last 48 hours) to contact them at the station. Their phone number is 061 – 214340.
As a result of the searches (which are ongoing) two firearms and ammunition were also recovered. These have been sent for technical examination.
Signifiacant developments will be reported in due course.
Details of age and gender etc of the body found will not be available until the arrival of the State Pathologist.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road have arrested a man in his late teens in relation to this morning's shooting in O' Malley Park.
They also conducted a number of searches as part of the investigation.
The man was arrested in the Limerick City area and is presently detained at Roxboro Road Garda station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.

Gardaí at Roxboro Road are investigating a shooting that occurred at a house in O' Malley Park shortly before 6am this morning.
A 27 year old male occupant of the house came downstairs to investigate after a rock was thrown through the front window. He was confronted by a masked gunman and ran back upstairs. He was pursued by the gunman and a shot was fired at him.
The gunman then left the house but fired another shot through the bedroom window before he left the scene altogether. Nobody was injured in this incident.
