The 23 year old man arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of David Brett at Ballydesmond, Co. Cork on 21st May 2007, was released without charge late last night.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to his detention.

Gardaí at Bandon this morning arrested a 23 year old man as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of David Brett at Ballydesmond, Co. Cork on 21st May 2007.
The man was arrested at a premises in Killavoy, Banteer, Co. Cork at 8.10am this morning, Saturday 5th April 2008.
He is being detained at Bandon Garda Station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
