Two males (37yrs & 42yrs) will appear before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court this morning (6/2/12) charged in connection with this investigation.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the cultivation of illegal drugs in the Mullingar area Gardai have seized cannabis plants and arrested two males.
Gardai from Mullingar carried out a planned search of an industrial unit on the outskirts of Mullingar at approximately 2.30pm on the 4.02.12. The search uncovered a grow house within the structure.
Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €500,000 (pending analysis) were discovered. Two males, 37 and 42 years of age, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Mullingar Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
