Drugs seizure and arrest in Cork on the 4/7/12
Gardaí investigating the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in North West Cork have seized a quantity of cannabis in the city yesterday 4th July 2012
Gardai from Togher, working in conjunction with Cork West Drug Unit, discovered 6 kilos of cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of €120,000 when they stopped and searched a car at Pouladuff Road, Cork at approximately 4pm yesterday.
A 40 year old man was arrested and detained at Togher Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
He was released last night 4th July 2012 without charge, pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
