All-Ireland Qualifiers on the 22+23/7/17

Clare -V- Tipperary on Saturday, the 22nd July 2017 at 3pm.
Waterford -V- Wexford on Sunday, the 23rd July 2017 at 4pm

Key messages:

All those attending the match fixtures at Páirc Uí Chaoimh this weekend are advised of the following:

Expect delays and come early

Turnstiles open 11.30 on Saturday and 12.30 on Sunday

All spectators will be subject to a bag search.  Do not bring backpacks or large bags

Travel to Cork by rail or bus if possible

Walk or Bus to the stadium 

Bus services will be running from Parnell Place/Merchants Quay to Ballintemple, adjacent to Páirc Uí Chaoimh

A bus service will run from Kent Railway Station to Parnell Place with connecting buses through to Ballintemple, which is adjacent to Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Those travelling by rail, from east of Cork city, can avail of free parking at Midleton, Little Island, Carrigtwohill and Glounthaune railway stations

Fans travelling by rail can now pre-purchase their Rail Tickets from Midleton, Carrigtwohill, Glounthaune or Little Island Stations see or call Customer Contact Centre on 1-850-366222

For those travelling to Cork by bus from Clare, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.

Saturday July 22nd

• Buses will depart Cashel Main Street, The Bakehouse every two hours from 10:05 with last return journey at 18:00 from Cork Bus Station
• Buses will depart Cahir from Castle Street Tourist Office every two hours from 10:25 with last return journey at 18:00 from Cork Bus Station
• Buses will depart from Ennis Bus Station every hour from 08:20 with the last return journey at 18:25 from Cork Bus Station

Sunday July 23rd

• Buses will depart from Waterford Bus Station every hour from 09:00 with the last return journey at 20:40 from Cork Bus Station
• Buses will depart Dungarvan every hour Davitt’s Quay from 09:50  with the last return journey at 20:40 from Cork Bus Station
Drivers Take Note:

There will be severe restrictions on vehicular access to the stadium and Garda road blocks will operate.


Parking near the stadium will not be allowed and a tow away policy will operate.

Drivers are advised to park in the city centre and use multi-storey car parks - All City Car parks are open

The following car parks are in the city centre:

Q Park are offering discounted Match Day parking at a fixed rate of €5 for Páirc Uí Caoimh Customers.  This offer will run from 10am to 8pm each match day and applies to City Hall and Carroll’s Quay car parks only. To avail of this offer supporters should visit and follow the link to   Tickets must be booked before midnight prior to the day of the match.

Parking is available in the Blackrock/Mahon area in the following locations:

• Blackrock Hurling and Football Club, Church Road, Blackrock
• Cork Camogie Grounds, Castle Road, Mahon
• Cork Constitution Rugby Grounds, Temple Hill, Blackrock

Sat & Sun -  Cork Camogie Grounds – Castle Road – 500 Spaces – via Castle Road and Marina.

RAIL – 400 passengers per train – free parking

Rail Capacity from Midleton, taking in stops at Carrigtwohill, Little Island and Glounthaune Stations will be doubled from two Carriages to Four Carriages for each train (from 200 to 400 passengers per train).  Please be advised that there is FREE parking for 400 cars  at Midleton, 250 cars at Carrigtwohill and approx 200 at each of the other locations.

Disabled Passes

All passes for wheelchair parking within the grounds of Páirc Uí Chaoimh have been issued.
There are still wheelchair tickets for access to the games available through the County Boards of Tipperary, Clare, Waterford, Wexford, Galway, Cork and Kilkenny. 

Recommended access for disabled mobility / mobility restricted persons: 

• The drop off location is on the LINK ROAD (Marquee Site entrance – see map on the right). Persons may be dropped off (no parking) at this location prior to 11:00 am Sat & 11:30 am Sun.

• Access (only) to link road is via Victoria Roundabout / Centre Park Rd.

• Depending on individual needs – it is advisable that person should be accompanied.

• It should be noted that vehicular movement after match will be restricted and roads will remain closed for at least 45 mins, as pedestrian movement will be prioritised. Health and safety concerns mean we cannot mix traffic with areas with high density of pedestrians.

Standard disabled driver car stickers do not qualify for preferential access through Garda cordons or other official traffic infrastructure.

Approx 200 issued by GAA nationally – parking in Link Road (Marquee site) Must have GAA issued pass. Must access by Victoria Roundabout / Centre park Road.
