Collision Prone Zones
What are Collision Prone Zones?
Collision Prone Zones are road sections measuring about 5 to 8 kilometres which have been identified as being predisposed to collisions.
The compiling of Collision Prone Zones follows an extensive analysis which was carried out by An Garda Síochána in conjunction with the National Roads Authority, Ordnance Survey Ireland and the Local Government Computer Services Board.
The analysis focused on collision history on our road network over the last 10 years.
Details of the Zones are available in the file in the Collision Prone Zones panel on the right hand side of this page.
